Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 la Fortune features cassis, redcurrants and black cherries aromas with cedar and fallen leaves plus dried herbs notions. The lively palate is medium-bodied, firm and grainy with good concentration and a long finish.

WE 93/100 - Vintage 2018
This ripe, structured wine has powerful tannins, hints of wood aging as well as black fruits. It comes from Soussans, north of the village of Margaux, grown on gravel soils that have given the wine a strong mineral edge. That suggests that the wine will take time and will not be ready before 2024. ROGER VOSS
